Preston Development

MHAworks was hired by Preston Development Company to plan and design several medical office buildings and a hospice center for Chatham Park’s health care campus. Chatham Park is a 7,068-acre technological community in Pittsboro, North Carolina and is currently the largest planned development on the East Coast. We have completed construction on two medical office buildings and the hospice center and are currently working on designing two more medical office buildings.  

Both medical office buildings include plenty of office space, conference and meeting rooms, employee breakrooms, and lobby space. Our goal when constructing these spaces is to provide a safe and comforting environment for patients, staff, and the environment. Some of the unique environmentally friendly features include an underground rainwater cistern outside the second medical office building which houses both UNC Health and Preston Development.

The first medical office building is LEED Silver certified, and the second medical office building is currently in the process of obtaining its LEED Silver certification.
