Position Based: Durham office

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and coordination of project team members, consultants, and clients, from project inception
    through completion
  • Assist in developing and mentoring staff
  • Assist firm leadership in representing firm to clients and consultants
  • Deliver projects that meet client’s budget and schedule
  • Plan and execute concept-based design processes and all facets of project documentation
  • Assist with the implementation and continued development of Revit and BIM documentation standards
  • Analyze and answer technical and design issues with the project team to produce constructable and
    positive solutions
  • Manage and organize team and project coordination and communication, internally and with
    consultants
  • Assist in developing project scope, schedule, and fees with project managers

Job Qualifications:

  • 10 years professional experience with at least 5 years as licensed architect
  • Building code proficient
  • Project specification proficient
  • Building envelope design and detailing proficient
  • Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, systems, specifications, and codes
  • Construction Administration proficient with experience in costing review and value engineering
  • Proficient in Revit
  • Comfort working on multiple projects of various scales and types
  • Open communicator with a positive attitude towards problem solving and a desire to mentor junior staff
  • Self-motivated, resourceful professional who values a high quality of client service and advocates for project success through collaborative design
