Center for Student Advancement

MHAworks was hired by Pitt Community College to design the Eddie & Jo Allison Smith Building for Student Advancement Center, a space designated to celebrate student achievement and provide a central location for many of its student service programs.

The newly constructed 28,000 square foot building contains a 3,000 square foot event space on the first floor that can be divided into two separate rooms as well as a smaller meeting that can serve as a pre-function space. The second floor provides an array of administrative and student affairs offices including the Student Resource Center, Vision’s Center, Veteran’s Center, and Student Scholarship Offices. The event room will be used for Convocation Ceremonies and the annual Academic Excellence Awards Program.
