MHA
works is designing the first LEED Silver Accredited building for North Carolina State
University, the Eastern 4-H Environmental Education Center. Located on a 250-acre site in Tyrrell
County, the new state-of-the-art facility includes recreation and multipurpose rooms suitable for large
group gatherings.
The 'green' design practices implemented demonstrate the firm's commitment to creating healthy
environments for its clients and developing strategies that utilize resources wisely. As members
of the U.S. Green Building Council and with a LEED Accredited Professional on staff, MHA

qualified to lead projects through design, construction and green building certification.
Construction for the facility is set to begin in November 2008.
